Civil War Wool Blankets - Amana Woolen Mill
In addition to our own historic past, the Amana Woolen Mill has helped replicate historical events in other ways. Over the years, they have supplied blankets to many Civil War history buffs to be used in Civil War re-enactments. Their blankets have also appeared in several movies. Over 170 blankets were ued as props in the 2-part mini-series, "Andersonville," that aired on Turner Television Network in 1996, and nearly 200 blankets were commissioned for the 2003 box office hit, "The Last Samurai", starring Tom Cruise. History Buffs will truly enjoy these replicated Civil War blankets from the 1860s. They're known for their simple design and durabilty. Made with pride in the USA since 1857!
